While the use of bilateral stimulation is generally accepted by mental health professionals to be a safe and often highly effective practice, Alternating Sounds, LLC does not claim nor warrant that the information or music on this site will be effective in all cases for all people for all reasons.  As stated elsewhere on this site, if any part of your listening experience feels excessively uncomfortable, stop the music and engage in self-care.

Also, it's important to acknowledge that not much well-designed research shows the benefits of auditory bilateral stimulation on a person's mental or emotional well-being.  The truth is that it just hasn't been studied much, one way or the other.  Most of the research that references the therapeutic uses of bilateral stimulation primarily focuses on eye movements.  This seems to be because most of these studies are associated with EMDR, which uses far more visual than auditory of tactile stimulation.   Still, we've gathered together some useful studies and will try to add to the list.

With that said, the anecdotal evidence on the value of auditory bilateral stimulation is hard to refute.  The entire field of Brainspotting, as conceived and developed by  David Grand, has thousands of trained practitioners across the world.  The testimonies of people who report many different types of life improvements as a result of this technique cannot be refuted.

The bottom line is that we want you to enjoy and benefit from this music with the understanding of the above.  Alternating Sounds, LLC makes no representation and assumes no responsibility for the accuracy of information contained on or available through this web site, and such information is subject to change without notice.
